Pain can be debilitating and frustrating. It may interfere with sleep, work, activities, and quality time with friends and family. Pain management provides relief so you can enjoy life. But treatment is complex and can lead to harmful effects if not properly administered and monitored. That’s why pain management is so important.

Our pain management team’s main goal is getting patients pain relief without surgery or opioids. There are many well-known potential side effects of surgery and opioids, so finding solutions with less risk is of tremendous value to our patients.

Symptoms of opioid use include drowsiness, constipation, euphoria, nausea, vomiting and slowed breathing. A person using opioids over time can develop tolerance, physical dependence and opioid use disorder, with the risk of overdose and death.

Our pain management team is proficient in helping people with a variety of conditions, including but not limited to:

  • Knee pain
  • Back or neck pain
  • Shoulder pain
  • Hip pain
  • Chronic pain
  • Distal joint pain in the elbows, wrists, hands, and ankles
  • Motor vehicle accidents

Some of our treatment options include ultrasound-guided or fluoroscopic-guided injections, prescribing braces such as a back or knee brace, modifying medications, and ordering imaging such as X-rays or MRIs.
